What Are Worm Castings?
Earthworm castings are the finished material produced after worms process organic matter. Quality castings contain organic matter, diverse microorganisms, humic compounds, enzymes, and mild levels of plant-available nutrients.
Wiggle Worm markets its product as 100% pure earthworm castings, OMRI-listed for organic use, with a 1-0-0 NPK analysis. The nitrogen charge is mild and slow compared with bottled nutrients, making castings suitable for seedlings, transplants, vegetables, flowers, houseplants, and cannabis living soil.
Worm castings are not a complete fertilizer by themselves. Use them inside a balanced living-soil system that includes quality compost, mineral amendments, mulch, aeration, appropriate dry amendments, healthy roots, and proper watering.
They can be mixed into fresh soil, incorporated during a recycled-soil recharge, added around transplant zones, top-dressed over established containers, or steeped briefly in water for a casting tea.
