Ocean-Derived Plant Support

Kelp Boost is an organic liquid ferment crafted from kelp meal and rich molasses. It is designed as a soil-focused biological input to support healthy roots, active growth, and resilient plants.

Kelp naturally contains a broad range of minerals and organic compounds. Seaweed-based inputs are often used in gardening programs to support plant vigor and help plants handle environmental stress.

Molasses provides a carbohydrate source that can support microbial activity in soil. When used as part of a balanced growing program, this biological activity can complement nutrient cycling in the root zone.

Use Kelp Boost from transplant through active vegetative growth and early-to-mid flowering. Start with the lower end of the recommended range, observe plant response, and adjust gradually.

When To Use

Seedling & Transplant

Apply a gentle dilution at transplant to support root establishment and help plants adapt to their new growing environment.

Vegetative Growth

Use regularly during active vegetative growth to support foliage development, strong stems, and a healthy root zone.

Pre-Flower & Early Bloom

Apply before and during the early flowering transition as part of a balanced feeding program.

Flowering & Budding

Continue through early and mid flowering as appropriate for the plant’s response and the overall nutrient program.

Stress Recovery

Use conservatively after environmental stress such as heat, drought, or transplant shock, and correct underlying conditions first.

Fresh Mix Practice

Mix fresh before use, use dechlorinated water when practical, and store unused syrup in a cool, dark location.

How Much To Use

Start at the lower end of each range on new genetics or sensitive plants. Apply one new input at a time whenever possible so plant response is easy to assess.

Soil Drench / Root Feed

Active Growth

  • Mix 7.5–13 mL per gallon of water.
  • Equivalent to roughly 1.5–2.6 teaspoons per gallon.
  • Apply every 10–14 days during active growth.
  • Water around the base of each plant.
Foliar Spray

Leaf Application

  • Mix 19 mL per gallon of water.
  • Equivalent to about 4 teaspoons per gallon.
  • Apply up to once per week.
  • Spray early morning or late afternoon, not in direct sun.
Rooting / Transplant

Young Plants & Clones

  • Mix 2–4 mL per gallon of water.
  • Equivalent to roughly 0.4–0.8 teaspoons per gallon.
  • Apply once at transplant or while rooting established clones.
  • Water directly around the root zone.

Autoflower Guidance

Soil Drench

Reduced Rate

Reduce the normal soil drench by up to 75%: approximately 1.9–3.3 mL per gallon, or 0.4–0.7 teaspoons per gallon.

Foliar Spray

Reduced Rate

Use approximately 4.7 mL per gallon, or about 1 teaspoon per gallon. Test a small section of foliage first.

Rooting / Transplant

Reduced Rate

Use approximately 0.5–1 mL per gallon, or about 0.1–0.2 teaspoons per gallon, for young autoflower plants.

Hydro & DWC Notice

Using molasses-based products in Deep Water Culture or recirculating hydroponic systems is generally not recommended. Organic carbohydrate inputs can alter reservoir biology and water chemistry, increasing the need for monitoring and system maintenance.

Kelp Boost is best suited to soil-based growing systems. If testing in any hydroponic setup, begin with a very small trial, closely monitor water quality and root health, and avoid introducing new variables during sensitive growth stages.
